Smoking could lead to other forms of addiction

Smoking is a bad habit because it can ruins health. From the standpoint of faith in the true God, smoking is a sinful act because it destroys body. In education, smoking is gateway to other forms of addiction and must be avoided.

A lot of human are still smoking. They are trying hard to kick the habit only to find their sons and daughters becoming heavy smokers and drug addicts. Parents cannot preach what they themselves cannot do.

Indonesia is a country where smoking is considered necessary and is even encouraged, though indirectly, by the government. It needs to learn from Singapore on how to protect its younger generation from the hazard of smoking. The Singapore government discourages smokers by printing filthy pictures on every pack of cigarettes describing human organs that are damage by the intake of nicotine and other hazardous substances therein.

Every 20 second s, some one in the world dies of TB and the main cause is tobacco consumption. Every month at least 400 people perish in Indonesia because of smoking related diseases. And every year an average of Rp60 flows trillion into the government’s bag from this industry.

According to Father Lambertus Somar, Directur of Kedathon Parahita drug addicts’ rehabilitation center, smoking is a sure gateway to narcotics addiction, which in turn leads to free sex, and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

In some part of Indonesia, smoking is a traditional practice. In urban societies, addiction to smoking is even compulsory. Actually, they know much better not to smoke but they do not know how to stop.

Sirenetta was a famous and had a beautiful voice. She lived with five sisters and Sea King. They were lived in wonderful palace in the deep of ocean. But sirenetta bored with her life and admired to world of humans.

One day there was one ship from kingdom. In the ship there one prince who handsome and sirenetta like him. Suddenly, the sky became black and the wind was sweeping the waves. Then storm hit the ship and make the ship sank. Sirenetta saw the prince in the sea and unconsious. So, Sirenetta helped and brought him to the beach and then she get back to the palace in the deep.

In the palace, she felt regret and thaugh her love. She knew that she could never marry with human. But sirenetta refused her destination and decided to ask the witch. The witch suggested her to drank magic potion when she came to the beach but she have to gave her voice to the witch and sirenetta agree with the witch.

On the beach, sirenetta drank the magic potion and the miracle came and made her became human. Sirenetta sat on the beach while prince go down on
the beach and they met again but the situation was sirenetta as human. The prince help and brought to the castle.

In the castle Sirenetta could not speak with others and telled about her. But, her life was changed because she not lived in the sea and lived with prince and she got disappointed cause her feet often felt sick when used for walking.

One day, prince decided to marry with lady from human and not with Sirenetta. This situation made her sad and regret. Her sisters wanted to help and gave knife to kill prince. But, Sirenetta could not and she dived to the sea and she became bubble. Then she drew out from the water flown to the sky.
